Course Structure
The course is divided into six detailed modules, each focusing on different aspects of the NMC CBT. The curriculum includes
lectures, practical exercises, case studies, mock tests, and guest lectures to provide a thorough preparation.
Module 1: INTRODUCTION TO NMC CBT
- Overview of NMC CBT: Introduction to the NMC CBT, including its purpose, structure, and key components.
- NMC Standards and Guidelines: Study of the NMC's standards for proficiency and guidelines for nursing practice.
- Preparation Strategies: Effective strategies for preparing for the CBT, including study plans and time management.
- Technological Tools for CBT Preparation: Use of online resources, practice tests, and study apps for CBT preparation.
- Field Trip: Visit to a local healthcare facility to understand the practical application of CBT-related skills.
Module 2: CLINICAL PRACTICE AND NURSING CARE
- Adult Nursing: Comprehensive review of adult nursing concepts, including patient assessment, care planning, and clinical
- decision-making. Paediatric Nursing: Study of paediatric nursing practices, including growth and development, common illnesses, and family-centred care.
- Mental Health Nursing: Exploration of mental health nursing, including common mental health conditions, therapeutic communication & crisis intervention.
- Advanced Nursing Skills: Practical training in advanced nursing skills, such as wound care, IV therapy & emergency response.
- Case Study: Analysis of a complex clinical scenario to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.
Module 3: PROFESSIONAL VALUES AND ETHICS
- NMC Code of Conduct: In-depth study of the NMC Code of Conduct and its application in nursing practice.
- Ethical Principles in Nursing: Exploration of ethical principles, including autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence & justice.
- Legal Aspects of Nursing: Understanding the legal responsibilities and liabilities of nurses, including consent, documentation, and confidentiality.
- Patient Advocacy: Training on how to advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
- Case Study: Examination of an ethical dilemma in nursing and discussion of appropriate actions.

Module 6: MOCK TESTS AND EXAM PREPARATION
